Carrier of Typhoid

(U.R) Health department offi
cials today were checking resi
dents of Snenard suburb to de-
termine if there was a typhoid
carrier responsible for making
at least 21 persons ill wan iy
nhoid fever.
Officials reported they had
checked all the wells in the sub
urb without finding any contam
inated. Earlier it had been
thought the spring thaw had con
taminated one of the wells.
Eleven persons have been hos
pitalized with the disease while
another lu are all it nome, ter
ritorial health officials reported.

Spray Advised Now
Steps to control the red berry
mite, a pest that interferes with
the ripening of boysen and black
berries, should be taken now,
County Agent C. B. Cordy said
todBy.
For small quantities of spray,
berrygrowers should use one
quart of liquid lime sulphur or
one pound of dry lime sulphur
to three gallons of spray. That
is equivalent to eight gallons of
liquid lime sulphur to 100 gal
lons. A thorough spraying now will
give good control, Cordy said.

States last week from Paris as
a French immigrant to marry
