Eight Accordionists
Play At Redding Club
Eve Prentice yesterday took
eight members of her accordion
band to Redding where they
were to play for a Kiwanis club
program last night. Arrange
ments were also made for a 15
minute broadcast over the Red
ding radio station Saturday after
noon. The band was engaged for
the Redding appearances when
they Derformed for the chamber
of commerce there last January.
The full accordion band also
performed for an Ashland junior
high school assembly Friday
when band member Dale Ward
cmceed a full hour program.
It takes 50 tons of copper
mined from the ground to equal
one ton of scrap copper.

A large audience seemed to
enjoy last night s performance
of the Broadway hit, "Fair and
Warmer." bv New York's civic
drama guild. Sponsored by the
Medford 20-30 club to raise
money for their youth fund, the
play was one of best attended of
any presented so far in the an
nual drama festivals.
The play was a lively farce In
the tradition of unfailing crowd
Dleasers and if gales of laughter
are any indication, the audience
left the auditorium weu-pieasea.
The two leading roles were
handled by competent veterans
with a lively sense of comedy
and the roar of applause at the
end of the play was meant chief
ly for them.
The final production in this
season's 20-30 club drama festi
val will appear at the senior
high school auditorium Aoril 22.
It will be another comedy the
sprightly "Peg o' My Heart.
