Portland, Ore., Feb. 18 (U.R)
Peter Lester Comely, 3-year-old
son of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Com
ely, was killed Friday when a
lumber truck hit him on his tri
cycle. Doran D. Barry, 39, driver of
the truck, told police he failed
to see the youngster who was
playing in the street.
His death was the sixth in
Portland this year.

Knoxville. (U.R) William Butts
served his sentence before he
was brought to trial on a drunk
en driving charge. The charge
was dismissed after It was
learned that Butts had spent 51
days in the county jail while
waiting for the case to come to
