Patter by Pat
Johnny Oleen
Jolly Johnny Olscn has a way
with the ladies . . . how else can
you account for the ever-growing
popularity of his "Ladies Be
Seated" audience - participating
program? The show is a favorite
with housewives every week-day
at 9 a.m. over KYJC and ABC.
A darkened dock at night, the
flash of a knife, and a man who
tumbles into the black waters
of the harbor, yet lives long
enough to provide the one clue
needed to solve a mystery, sup
ply the ingredients for the "Case
of the Sea-Going Stockings," the
"Counterspy" episode to be aired
over station KYJC and ABC at
o'clock tonight.
Colorful and exciting ac
counts, ranging from an eye
witness report of the fall of Nan
king to the communists to a dra
matic description of how the res
idents of a small Pennsylvania
community strove desperately
but futilely to avert a train
wreck, will highlight the ABC
broadcast of "Gentlemen of The
Press" tonight at at 8:30 over
Station KYJC.
It was a soldier of the Scot
tish Highlanders sentenced to ex
ecution who gave the world the
famous ballad of "Loch Lo
mond." The full account will be
given by Ted Malone on his Wed
nesday broadcast at 9:25 a.m.
over Station KYJC and ABC.
Girl scout troop number 18
will present a radio play on
KYJC Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
Troop number 18 is composed of
gins in central r'oint under di
rection of Mrs. Paul Snooks;
Mrs. W. L. Childress and Mrs.
Max Hawks, aided by the troop
committee composed of Mrs.
Ivan Skyerman and Mrs. Don
Patterson.
