Herman Husen, about 60, died
yesterday when a shed roof
weighted down with wet snow
collapsed on him while he was
doing his chores at his home in
Crow, 15 miles west of here.
Husen's wife summoned help
from neighbors and passing mot
orists, but Husen was dead by
the time help arrived.

Salem Businessman
Dies After Surgery
Salem, Ore., Jan. 20 (U.R)
Gerald D. Watson, Salem busi
nessman, died Thursday in Bos
ton, Mass., after a delicate heart
operation Monday, his friends
hero were advised today. He
was 25 years old.
Transfusions totaling 28 pints
of blood had been given Watson
at the children's section of Peter
Brent Brigham hospital after the
operation, his second in a year
due to high blood pressure.
His wife, Lucille, and his
mother, Mrs. Betty Watson, were
at his bedside when he died.
