Home Economist, will start the
show with a complete washer,
dryer and ironer demonstration.
She will discuss the latest iron
ing methods, give hints about
new Laundry detergents and
how to get the best results with
them, and she will explain the
use of clothes dryers. ,
At 2 o'clock Friday afternoon
Miss Christensen will conduct a
cooking school. She will show
you how cooking can be as easy
as pushing a button, when you
are cooking with a General Elec
tric Range.
Miss Christensen will continue
the kitchen clinic with a Dish
washer and Disposal show, start
ing at 7 p. m. Friday evening.
The Friday evening show is for
the convenience of women who
work but everyone is welcome,
including husbands.

More than one year ago the
General Electric Co. introduced
for the first time Push Button
Switches on its electric ranges.
The new switches were attractive
in appearance and were certainly
more convenient to use. How
ever, many people were dubious
about push buttons on electric
ranges. Now more than one year
later the General Electric com
pany is proud to announce that
push buttons on electric ranges
arc an unqualified success, and
they are here to' stay. In more
than one year of actual use,
there has been fewer than one
switch failure in more than 2,000
Push Button Switches.
This is a better record than
has been possible with the old
fashioned rotary type switch. As
a result of these findings, the
General Electric company have
installed Push Buttons on more
of their 1950 Model Ranges.
These new General Electric
Ranges may soon be seen at the

priced Cabinet Ironer. This new
rotary style ironer will sell for
less than $100.00.
This new ironer has many

Cranberry Stuffed Pork Roast
Boned pork
shoulder,
6 to 7 pounds
H cup cranbeirles,
chopped
1 tablespoons
susar
V, loaf day-old
bread, cubed
K teaspoon salt
Pepper
M teaspoon ease
Dash or nutmeg
2 tablespoons
minced onion
t tablespoons
chopped parsley
1 small apple,
peeled and diced
U cup vltamlnlsed
margarine,
melted
Rub meat Inside and out with salt
and pepper. Mix cranberries and
sugar and let stand. Combine bread
cubes with rest of ingredients. Add
cranberries. Fill pocket of pork with
stuffing. Sew or lace pocket together
with string. Roast in a medium even
(350F.) allowing 40 minutes to a
pound. Garnish with glazed apples
filled with candied cranberries.
Serves S to 10.
CITY ELIMINATES
GARBAGE PROBLEM
Jasper, Indiana The Gen
eral Electric Company has been
awarded a contract to install a
Garbage Disposall in every home
in Jasper, Indiana.
The contract will exceed
$100,000.00 with about 1400
Disposalls to be installed. This
Is the first such contract on a
city wide basis in America. The
citizens of Jasper feel that by

Medford, Oregon, Jan. 19. The
Home Appliance Co., local Gen
eral Electric Appliance Dealers,
announced today that they have
just received a new model Gen
eral Electric Home Freezer.
The new freezer is an 11 Cubic
Foot size. This size freezer is
large enough to hold approxi
mately 400 pounds of meats,
vegetables, and frozen foods. The
new freezer has sliding baskets
for convenient loading, a warn
ing signal light, a handle that
may be locked, a special com
partment for food packaging ma
terials, and many other attrac
tive features.
A very remarkable feature of
the new II Cubic Foot Freezer
is its large capacity and yet
small cabinet size. This new
freezer is only slightly larger
in its outside dimensions than
the present 8 cubic foot model.
This larger food storage capa
city in a smaller cabinet was
accomplished by two major
changes in design. The General
Electric Engineers have used a
new and superior insulating ma
terial that permits the use of
narrower cabinet walls. And
secondly the Freezer unit has
been repositioned in order to
attain greater storage capacity.
