Should the Vandals drop either

win its final game with Oregon
Saturday, Idaho and Oregon
State would finish In a tie.
The Vandals took an early
lead last night and never lost it,
although the Beavers tied the
score once in the first half and
again early in the second period.
Idaho led 2D to 27 at halftime.

Southern Oregon College,
Ashland, Feb. 26 Several Inter
esting and "unusual Items of In
terest are brought out in the
many responses that have been
received by the Southern Oregon
College Invitational basketball
tournament committee.
Ophlr high school, in Curry
county, with an average attend
ance of less than 20, and its to
tal faculty consisting of. two
women, will enter a team, ac
cording to Miss Nellie Shepherd,
principal of Ophlr high school, a
graduate of S.O.C. and of the
University of Oregon.
Another unusual entry is that
of Burns high school of Harney
county, some 330 miles distant.
This Is the first team that has
ever entered the tournament
from Harney county.
Up to the present there are 28
tentative entries in the tourna
ment.
Generous response is being
given by local hotels and auto
courts to requests for reserva
tions for visiting teams, accord
ing to R. W. McNcal, tournament
manager.
