be made public on Feb. 11.
Seven jockeys, a trainer and
Jockey's agent were set down
Saturday on charges that a
steeplechase race Nov. 30 had
been "fixed."
Henry Parr, III, president of
the Maryland Jockey Club, said
the club would cooperate with
officials to assure honestly-run
races at Pimlico.

Bristow Tops List
Despite poor weather the
Medford Gun Club held one of
the most successful turkey
shoots of its history Sunday
when no less than 43 shot-gun
artists took turkeys away for
their Christmas dinner.
Sid Bristow topped the list
with four turkeys and was
closely followed by Bill Poff,
three, Paul Culbertson, three,
Frank Clogston, three, Sonny
Gleason, two, Jim Ross, two,
George Jantzer, two, Bert Peck,
two, Ed Pease, two, Mervin
Gleason, two, H. R. Turpln, two.
Those winning one turkey each
were Don Niedermeyer, John
Morris, Harry Hawk, Stan
Smith, Harry Elrien, Billy
Young, Bobby Elden, Walt
Painter, James Culp, Elmer
Clemens, R. Pinkham, John
Nealon, C. C. Chapman, Fred
Sander, Harry Goode and Floyd
Young.
The Club has now secured an
ample supply of ammunition
and will resume shooting every
week after the holidays.

ard J. Nelson, manager of the
office. The activities, as stated
by Mr. Nelson, are to Issue
original and, duplicate account
number cards, give information
regarding benefits and accept
applications for benefits for
Old-Age and Survivors Insur
ance. The office also processes
changes In records.

Klamath Falls, Dec. 24 Be
ginning this week, the Herald
and News, Klamath Falls daily
paper, will be published In four
and six pages, with practically
no advertising, according to A.
D. Addison, advertising man
ager. Addison said the reason for
the drastic move was that paper
had been used up too fast and
advertising would have to be cut
to "only a trace" to provide
enough paper to finish out the
year.
Newsprint rationing ends Jan.
1 when paper companies will
take over the problem of divid
ing newsprint among their cus
tomers, Addison declared.
