To Sing Carols Young people
of the Junior High school depart
ment of the Presbyterian church
will sing carols for patients at
the county hospital Saturday
evening it was announced today.
The young people are asked to
meet at the church at 6:30 p. m.
and after the caroling the group
will return to the church for hot
' refreshments.

Eagles Christmas program will
be held Sunday at 2:30 p. m. at

Office To Close The holi
day schedule for the Medford
office of the Veterans' Admin
istration was announced today
by E. L. Knight who stated that
the office would not be open
Dec. 22, 23, 24 or 25, reopening
again Dec. 26. For the New
Year's week-end the office will
be closed Dec. 31 as well as Jan.
1. This Is in conformity with a
national policy.
Captain Returning Capt.
Edward C. Kelly has arrived in
the United States from Germany
and expects to be in Medford
the first of next week accord
ing to information received by
Mrs. Kelly. Capt. Kelly, attach
ed to a military government
unit, in recnt months has been
at Weisbaden, Germany, aiding
with the trials of nazi leaders.
He has been in the army about
two and one-half years.
