Kahlers Celebrat
Mr. and Mrs. Robert C. Kah-
ler, 312 Portland avenue, cele
brated their 25th wedding anni
versary yesterday. The Kahlor's
son. Sgt. Robert Kahler. who has
arrived in the States after two
years overseas service, is to be
home for the Christmas holidays.

meeting of Nevita chapter No.
93, O.E.S. has been called for
Monday, Dec. 17 at 8 p. m. by
Mrs. Lloyd Stimson, worthy
matron, for initiation. New
members for the year are re
quested to be present since a
portion of the meeting will be
in their honor. All members of
the chapter and visiting mem
bers of the order are Invited to
attend. Next regular meeting
will be Jan. 8, with installation
of officers, and no meeting will
be held Dec. 25.
At the meeting and annual
Christmas party Dec. 10 Mrs,
Orville Hamilton was elected
worthy matron. Also elected
were C. W. Abbot, worthy pa
Iron; Mrs. Truman Brenner, as
sociate matron; Marshall Day,
associate patron; Mrs. Gladys

McKibbon, associate conductress.
Following the session present
officers, under the leadership of
Mrs. Hamilton, presented a fare
well degree for Mrs. Stimson
and Mr. Hamilton. Mrs. Lloyd
Morris sang a specially arranged
inanK you song, gifts were
presented and responses made
by the honorecs. The associate
matron thanked Mrs. Stimson
on behalf of the officers for the
pleasant associations of the year
and for gifts received from her.
Sinning of Christmas carols
was directed by Mrs. Morris
accompanied by Mrs. Sam Koeh-
ler and after the usual gift ex
change around the Christmas
tree, refreshments were served.
Small Christmas trees, red can
dles in star holders and clever
pine needle nut cups made a de
lightful setting. Miniature white
Bible book marks, gift of the
worthy matron, marked each
place.
Chairman of the dining room
committee was Mrs. E. E. Scott
and she was assisted by the Mes
dames W. II. ' Hamlin, Bert
Langstnn and C. W. Abbott.
Mrs. Hamlin had made the nut
eups, while Mrs. Morris and
Mrs. Slimson had decorated the
chapter room Christmas tree.

Reunion Dinners
Given In County
Members of the Sutherlin
family in Jackson county have
been entertaining at a series of
family reunion dinners, the fam
ily all being in the county for
the first time in 31 years.
First of the dinners was held
at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J.
M. Sutherlin, Ashland, with 43
members of the family present.
The mother, Mrs. Pallie Suther
lin, was honored guest.
A daughter and sister, Mrs. A.
B. Holt, Central Point, enter
tained the family at the second
dinner. Present were Mrs. E. L.
Matthews, Central Point; Miss
Ruth Sutherlin, Mrs. John Lacy
and S. A. Sutherlin, Mcdford; L.

social calendar crowded with

St. Mark's Auxiliary - Guild
will have a Christmas party and
gift exchange at a meeting set
for Thursday at 12:30 at the
parish house. Election will be
held during a business meeting.
Luncheon hostesses will be the
Mesdames Robert Holmes, H. C.
Goldsmith and Ncle Osborne.

in the armory at 8 p. m. Wednes
day. Members of the Order of
the Purple Heart are especially
invited to attend. There will be
