Mr. Buckley and his bride
made a wedding trip to Snn
Francisco and have returned
to Medford where they will live
for the present. Mrs. Buckley
wore a chartreuse nut with
brown accessories for traveling
The bride attended St. Mnry's
Academy here and later attend
ed Medford Business college.
Mr. Buckley also atended St
Mary's Academy and was grad
uated from Medford high school
and Portland university. He
was recently discharged from
the army after having served
overseas three years with the
Sixth Port Transportation Corps
engineers, with the rank of cor
poral.

Mr. Smith recently here, has
reported back to San Pedro,
Calif., where he has re-enlisted
In the Navy. He holds the rat
ing of first class torpedoman..

son, son of Mr. and Mrs. Merle
Richardson, Clinton,. New York
The ceremony took place Mon
day, Dec. 3, at the Chapel of the
Rocks and Roses, with the Rev.
D. E. Millard reading the serv
ice. For the wedding M'ss Morrell,
given In marriage by her father,
wore a black suit with white ac
cessories and carried a bouquet
of orchids and red roses. Mrs.
Edward McGinty, matron-of-
honor, wore a light blue suit and
a corsage of talisman roses.
Harvey Morrell, brother of
the bride, was best man.
Mrs. Millard was at the piano
for the wedding marches, the
Rev. Millard sang "Always" and
the two sang "Moonlight and
Roses." About 20 guests were
present for the ceremony.
The groom was recently re
leased from the army after 35
months In the service, 21 months
of which he spent in the Euro
pean theater. He held the rank
of corporal.
Mr. and Mrs. Richardson will
make their home in Medford for
the present.

George Lyon Burke were mar
ried Friday, Dec. 7, the cere
mony being performed by Jus
tice William P. Tucker at the
courthouse.
Mrs. Burke, a sister of Ollph
Leigh-Spencer of Vancouver, B.
C, formerly lived In the valley
before going to England to re
side In 1921, and returned to this
country about a year ago. Mr.
Burke, brother of Mrs. Donald
Clark, recently came to Medford
from California.
Mr. and Mrs. Burke will make
their home at 1403 East Main
street.

Preceding the double -ring
ceremony, performed by the
Rev. D. E. Millard, the minister
sang "Always" and "I Love Vou
Truly." Mrs. Millard played the
wedding march.
The wedding was followed by
a reception and dinner at the
home of the bride's parents on
Evans Creek.
The groom received an army
discharge In September after
serving 33 months In the Pacific
war theater. He Is now em
ployed by Timber Products com
pany and the couple will live in
Medford.

Student Program
Chrtstmas Music
An a 1 1-school program of
Christmas music planned for
public presentation in the high
school auditorium Wednesday,
Dec. 18, is being prepared by
music students of the Medford
city schools Miss Mabel Nansen,
music supervisor announces.
A combined chorus of 275
voices will represent the elemen
tary schools, and the Junior
High School will present a
girl's chorus of 50 voices. Sen
ior high school groups will . In
clude the band, mixed choir
and girls' chorus.
In addition to this combined
program, there wtll be a Christ
mas program In each building.

wedding, and the Rev. and Mrs.
Millard also sang.
The bride, given in marriage
by her father, wore a suit of
light blue with pink accessories
for the service. Her flowers
were a corsage of roses and gar-1
denias. The matron-of-honor,
Mrs. Byrd Weitman, wore a
royal blue suit with a corsage of
pink rosebuds.
Mrs. Mathes was gowned In
black, with white accessories
and a gardenia corsage while the
groom's mother wore a light
blue dress and gardenias.
A reception at the chapel fol
lowed the ceremony. Mrs. Weit
man served the wedding cake
and Mrs. Lloyd Lacy, Talent,
served punch. About 50 friends
and relatives of the couple at
tended the ceremony and recep
tion. Mr. and Mrs. Newton left
later for Klamath Falls where
they were to spend several days
before going to Portland where
the groom is stationed with the
navy. Later the couple will live
in Talent.
