CASE' REVERSED

Oregon's supreme court has
reversed the decision of circuit
court in which Ruth Natwick of
Eagle Point was granted $10,000
damages from Kenneth John
Moyer, then a sergeant station
ed at Camp White, as a result of
the death of her husband, Car
lyle Ray Natwick, a United
Press release from Salem states.
Natwick was killed as the result
of a head-on collision of the
Moyer and Natwick cars on Cra
ter Lake highway Feb. 18, 1944,
the release states.
The case was tried here in
July of 1944 and argued before
the state supreme court Nov.
7, 1945, by Gus Newbury, at
torney for the plaintiff, and
Charles Reames, the defendant's

The supreme court reserval
probably means that the case
will be re-tried in circuit court,
attorneys state, and in the mean
time the plaintiff's attorneys
may petition for a re-hearing
before the high court.
The reversal was made on
the grounds that the testimony
of Franis Porro, Camp White
medical officer, to the effect
that blood tests showed Moyar
had been drinking, was inade
quate, the release from Salem
declared.

IN ROTARY TALK
In the era of business pros
perity ahead the scientific study
of human relations becomes in
creasingly necessary, according
to Raymond Osborne Yost,
Greenwich, Conn., business
counselor. Speaking before a
luncheon meeting of the Mti
ford Rotary club Tuesday noon
at the Medford Hotel, Yost
warned business men that "sales
muscles have withered" during
the wartime period when goods
were scarce and demand ex
ceeded the supply. "It is time
now to come forth from our
period of enforced lethargy and
get back to the fundamental job
of selling.
"Dollars and customers are
soon going where they want to
go," the former retailer, manu
facturer and personnel manager
reminded Rotarians in urging
prompt study of the things
which influence the heart and
mind of man. The importance of
personal analysis was pointed
out. Human relationship has
now been reduced to a scientific
study and, with increasingly
keen competition due in months
to come, Yost urged business
men to make this study for
business survival.
Three members of the Rotary
club were analyzed as repre
sentative of the three classes
introvert, ambivert and extro
vert. Emmerson Merrick, program
chairman, introduced the speak
er. W. A. Gates and Eino Hem
mila spoke briefly on the cur
rent Victory Loan and urged
support in the queen contest, a
feature of the drive.
