Marines Discharged Two
Medford marines were recently
discharged from the service ac
cording to a release from San
Francisco. One is Dwayne D.
Case, 20, assistant cook, whose
mother resides at Route 2, box
1 688, and the other is Pvt. Leon
A. Nichols, 28.
Tires Missing Two four-ply
mud guard tires, size 550-18, be
longing to Darrell McNeill, S'ar
route, box 39, were reported to
city police today as stolen last
night from McNeill's auto, park
ed in front of his home. The
tires were mounted on gray
wheels, police were told.

Leave Mr. and Mrs. C. H,
Rohlf left Thursday for Duluth.
Minn., where they will make
their home. Rohlf, who served
as a master sergeant with head
quarters' company, First Engi
neers' Special Brigade, in both
the Philippine and Okinawa
campaigns, returned here Oct. 6
and received an honorable dis
charge at Ft. Lewis, Wash. Mrs.
Rohlf will be remembered as
the former Phyllis eleven. The
Rohlfs were accompanied as far
as Portland by Pfc. Edgar
Cleven, who had completed a 45
day furlough at home after serv
ing in the European theater with
the 226th General hospital unit.
His brother, Pvt. Glen Cleven is
serving with the 67th Infantry
Training battalion at Camp wol-
ters. Parents of the three are

day leave at the family home
after 18 months with the navy in
the South Pacific area. Bost
wick wears the Asiatic-Pacific
theater ribbon with two bronze
battle stars, Philippine liberation
ribbon with two battle stars, and
the American theater ribbon.
Andrew Bostwick, brother of the
navy man, has also arrived home
following an honorable discharge
from the army after three and
one-half years service.

Police today hunted a burglar
who broke into the home of Film
Joan Crawford and stole a 14-
carat gold vanity case valued at
$700. Miss Crawford, in filing
the report, used her married
name of Mrs. Philip Terry.
