Flamath Falls on Oct. 28 and 29.
Registered Hereford breeders
from the three Pacific coastj
states have already sent in most
of their consignments. A great
deal of interest is being shown
by both registered Hereford
breeders and commercial cattle
men. John S. Day, of Medford, pres
ident of the association, stated
that premiums totaling $1,200
would be given in first, second
and third places to the winners
in the different classes of cattle
shown Of this amount, Klamath
county is giving S500, the Cal
Oregon Hereford association
S450, and the American Here
ford association located in Kan
sas City. Mo., will give S250.
This Is the first time since In
ception of the organization in
1938 that premiums have been
given in this show and indicates
the widespread reputation that
the annual event is gaining in
the west, Day declared.
All Group Travel
Restrictions Off

tions on group travel and on the
activities of travel agencies or I
bureaus, effective Oct. 1. :
The ODT revoked its order of j
last July 21 prohibiting organiz-1
ed group travel and the sale of
railroad accommodations to tra
vel agencies.

driven by two 15-foot propellers
in the tail. President Donald W.
Douglas said the 77-foot, Alli
son powered plane, the DC-8,
would succeed the 21-passenger
DC-3, long standard on U. S.
Airlines.

Men's shirts are being reconvert
ed. The war production board has
lifted its ban on long shirt-tails,
pleated bosoms and those fancy
"French" cuffs that need cuff
links. WPB also decided to permit
the return of more elegant men's
pajamas and lounging wear. It
removed restrictions against col
lars, sashes and f roge a decora
tive effect around button-holes
on these apparel.

Naval Patients To
Be Back Next Month
Chicago. Sept. 14 (U.R Vice
Adm Ross T. Mclntire, surgeon
general of the navy, reported to
day that the evacuation of the
15,000 naval patients remaining
to be returned to this country
should be completed in October.
Mclntire, writing in the cur
rent issue of the Journal of the
American Medical association,
said that 1,800 naval patients
were being returned weekly by
ship and plane.
