Here Is the CHAPEL of ROCKS and ROSES
OMedford's new Chapel of the Rock and Roe is well named, for here
petrified native woods of Jackson County, gathered during the past
15 years, blend into the architecture of a lovely chapel of incomparable beauty.
Here, too, will be rare roses in abundance surrounding the chapel and planted
in profusion in an old-fashioned garden, with pool and wishing well. The
Chapel itself has a quiet, friendly atmosphere achieved with rich carpeting
and drapes, and lighting with newest indirect cold cathode neon lighting. The
Chapel will accommodate 60 persons, or when occasion demands, 150 by open
ing the adjacent living-room of Rev. and Mrs. Millard. From the comfortable
study and office to the library and den in the tower, the Chapel of the Rocks
and Roses has beauty and dignity that will delight the people of the Rogue
River Valley. Be sure to attend the open house programs Saturday and Sun
day and see this lovely chapel.
To EVERYONE in the
ROGUE RIVER VALLEY!
IT is with genuine pride that we present to the people of Medford
and the Rogue River Valley our lovely new "Chapel of the
Rocks and Roses" at Oakdale Avenue and King streets just
across from the Jackson County Courthouse.
We would like to share the opening 0f this new Chapel with our good
friends and neighbors of Southern Oregon, so we've planned delightful
entertainment and opportunities for public inspection tomorrow and
Sunday.
Saturday at noon we will feature a half-hour open house for members
of the Courthouse "family," officials of the Jackson County Chamber
of Commerce and the City of Medford as well as the Press. From 2:00
to 5:00 the general public is cordially invited to be our guests. At 8:00
p. m. we will share our own 10th Wedding anniversary with all of the
couples married by Rev. Millard. An appropriate service has been
planned.
Sunday, at 10:45 a. m., a dedicatory service will be held in our beautiful
Chapel, with an address "The Radio of the Soul" by Rev. D. E. Millard.
From 2:00 p. m. to 5:00 p. m. the public is again invited to enjoy a
three-hour open house inspection of our Chapel. At 8:00 p. m. Sunday
the doors of the Chapel of the Rocks and Roses again swing wide lo
the public for a special Sunday musical concert, featuring an all-teacher
orchestra and other outstanding musical treats.
We most cordially invite our friends to visit this lovely chapel and enjoy
the splendid dedicatory programs we have prepared for this occasion.
Cordially yours,
REV. and MRS. D. E. MILLARD.
