Mrs. Thomas Lewis, Jr., the
former Miss Ruth Humphries,
and her sister, Miss Mary Hum
phries, daughters of Mr. and
Mrs. S. S. Humphries of 322 East
12th street, left last Monday for
New York City where they will
join Mrs. Lewis' husband, Cpl.
Lewis, who has just returned
from 14 months of overseas ser-l
vice in the European theatre of
war.
Cpl. Lewis was seriously In
jured in Germany on March 25,
and is now at Halloran General
hospital where he expects to
undergo two more operations.
At the time of his injury, he was
serving with General Patton's
third army.
The young couple intend to
make their home in the east.
Miss Humphries will also remain
in the east.
