YANKEES LOUSY
IN LOVER ROLE
SAY PARISIE1ES
Paris, June 28 (U.R) French
women say the Yanks are lousy
lovers and considerably less well
behaved 'than Hollywood movies
had led them to expect, accord
ing to the Parisian Weekly,
Samedi Soir.
Annoyed by a recent column
in the army newspaper Stars and
Stripes, in which scores of GI's
aired Iheir gripes against French
women, the weekly retailiated
with a few complaints about the
Yanks,
"Here's what French women
don't like about Americans," the
newspaper said:
"First, their getting too often
and unbearably drunk.
"Second, their devil-may-care
attitude: They talk and laugh too
loud.
"Third, their inability to dis
tinguish a respectable woman
from a tart.
"Fourth, their Insolence to
women on the streets.
"Fifth, their inability, except
in the movies, to pay refined,
charming and sentimental court
to women."
According to the Samedi Soir.
French men are bitter about the
whole deal. They feel that the
Yanks are exerting a vulgarizing
influence on French girls, teach
ing them to chew gum and talk
through their noses," among
other things.
