sponsored a special one-day
meeting attended by more than
1000 women, including delegates,
club members and others. Mrs.
Fenner is a guest in Medford of

Installation of new officers for
the Medford Business and Pro
fessional Women's club was held
Thursday evening of last week
at a dinner meeting at Chalker's
Motel on the Rogue River. Laura
York was installed president,
succeeding Maurine Conger.
Also installed were Ethel
Tennant, first vice-president; Lu
lu Watson, second vice-president;
Lucille Lenox, recording secre
tary; Marjorie Hopkins, corre
sponding secretary; Annabelle
Riggs, treasurer; Mary Snider,
auditor; Marian Farrell, pro
gram coordinator; Maurine Con'
ger and Mildred Drury, direc
tors.
Helen Parish, past president,
was the installing officer.
Lunetta Bussey presented the
outgoing president, Maurine
Conger, with a gift of crystal on
behalf of the club. A gift of a
club pin was made to the new
president, Laura York.
Mrs. Leta Parker Gardner,
past state president, was intro
duced and gave a short talk. A
brief business meeting was held
and committee chairmen ap
pointments for the new year
were announced.
Two guests, Faye Dierdorf,
and Virginia Kellogg were pres
ent.
In charge of arrangements for
the dinner meeting were Mar
garet Morrison, Maurine Conger,
Hazel Swayne, Ethel Tennant,
Edith Davis, Eva Judd, Lucille
Lenox, Helen Parish, Kay David'
son, Gladys York, Marjorie Hop
kins, and Kathryn Larison.

Temple, Daughters of the Nile.

the direction of Mrs. O. L. Over
meyer, with Mrs. William Ar
nold, Mrs. William A. Young,
Mrs. Otto DeJarnett and Mrs.
George Frey in the cast of char
acters. Mrs. C. A. Winetrout, a
past queen of the temple, was
luncheon chairman, assisted by
Mrs. Frances Flinn, Mrs. Ralph
Lue, Mrs. Frey, Mrs. J. W. Mack,
Mrs. C. E. Kunz and Mrs. Young.
The session of the temple was
well attended by members from
Grants Pass, Klamath Falls, Ash
land and Medford. Mrs. Harry
Nordwick, Medford, temple
queen, presided. Next meeting
will be Sept. 8 In Grants Pass
and will honor past queens and
charter members.
