hronze star medal, a citation
from the 440th anti-aircraft ar
tillery battalion states. The cap
tain. In the army about nine
years, has been In Europe for the
past 18 months.

an exceptionally high degree of

1st, 4th, 78th and 75th Infantry
divisions." the citation reads.

Maddox Entertains
Medford Rotarians
George Maddox entertained
members of the Medford Rotary
club Tuesday noon at the Hotel
Medford with two vocal selec
tions, "Song of Songs" and "My
Jean," as a feature of the weekly
meeting of the club. Maddox
was accompanied at the piano
by Mrs. Maddox.
The Rotary club's barber shop
quartette, comprising George
Turney, Kenneth Denman, Har
vey Robertson and Robert
Wright, added to the musical
program with two quartette
numbers. A discussion of mete
orology completed the program.
