WILLIAM OLSON
-William Olson, 73, retired
lumberman, passed away at his
home, 614 S. Central, early
Thursday. Services will be in
the Conger-Morris chapel at 3
p.m. Saturday. A complete obitu
ary will be in Friday's paper.

be read for H. George Baker In
the Conger-Morris chapel at l
p.m. Saturday. Interment will
be in Siskiyou Memorial Park.
Mr. Baker passed away in a
local hospital Tuesday afternoon
coming here a week ago from
his home at Eetna, Calif., for
medical treatment.
He was born in Kansas, March
12, 18B2. He is survived by his
wife, Mrs. Nora Baker, Etna,
Calif., two children, Fred H
Baker and Mrs. Elsie Cook, Med
ford, and six grandchildren.
There is also a brother, Fred'
Baker, Sacramento, and a sister,
Mrs. Maude Hunter, San Fran

Cincinnati, O., (U.R) A car
load of burning sulphur was
towed near'y half a mile so fire
men could put out the blaze with
water.
Firemen, carrying buckets of
water, trailed tha moving car to
extinguish numerous small fires
that had started along the right-of-way
as the sulphur melted
and dripped from the car.
The fire was believed to have
started from spontaneous com
