ARDEN' TO AWAIT
Long Beach, Cal., May 5 (U.R)
A modern "Mrs. Enoch Ardan"
decided tonight to await word
from a husband "returned" from
the dead before tackling the
problem of what to do with a
second husband, "a swell guy."
Mrs. Robert A. McDowell was
skeptical that the first man she
had married, Lit. Haroia uoaa,
27. was found alive In a Rangoon
hospital. Since the War Depart-
ment officially declared him
dead Oct 31, 1944, she married
Ens. Robert A. MacDowell, of
Saugerties, N. Y., who left for
overseas last month.
. Mrs. MacDowell, 22, a blue'
eyed, honey-blonde, will leave
Tuesday for Portsmouth, O., to
discuss with relatives a situation
that counterparts Tennyson's
Enoch Arden, a story of a wonv
an who happily remarried when
she thought her sailor husband
was lost at sea.

Colonel Frank Capra directed
this on-the-spot record of the
campaign against San Pietro.
The foreword spoken by Lieut.
Gen. Mark Clark explains why
the objective had to be taken
with "greatly reduced forces,"
which worked bitter hardship
upon each individual soldier. The
music score by Dlmitri Tlomkin,
performed in part by the Mor
mon Tabernacle Choir and the
childrens' choir of St. Brenda's
church, is superbly blended into
the flow of this most impressive
documentary film.
