rooms in the Armory.

reasons have left Medford for

yet to come and the soviet cap
ital for the most part remained
amazingly calm.
The Polish embassy last night
celebrated the fact the first in
fantry division to storm into
Berlin with red tanks was

On Removing of
Houses in Park
A notice issued by City Super
intendent Frank Rogers yester
day calls for bids for the pur
chase and removal of the four
dwelling houses on the new city
park site.
According to the notice bid
ders may bid for removal or pur
chase of any or all the build
ings, designated as numbers 901,
511, 517 and 523 East Main
street, and will be required to
remove the same from the prem
ises on or before 60 days from
acceptance of bids by the city
council. Bids may be submitted
In writing to the city superin
tendent on or before May 10.
Conditions of removal of the
buildings may be inspected at
the office of the e!ty superintendent.
The United Savings and Loan
League reports that net savings
receipts last year totaled $874,
677,000. This set a new high ac
cording to savings and loan and
co-operative bank executives.
