You are my most important
client today, Mary, and I am im

question, even terrified with It.
In the first place let me con

English, the .form, the .spelling
the punctuation and especially
the terseness you say all there
is to say in the fewest possible

Dr. and as M. D address him
either as Dr. John Doe or as
John Doe, M. D.; and the abbre

Dear, so one should begin such
a letter with the salutation
"Dear Doctor" or "Dear Dr
Doe" or "Dear Sir" or If one
must be coldly formal, "My dear
Dr. Doe," or, if one is on friend
ly terms with the correspondent.
"Hi-ya Doc."
In the next place I congratu
late you upon the proficiency of
your teacher. I think a teacher
who can lead a pupil,to ask why
as you do, Mary, is a fine
teacher.
I hope I have not Implied that
brushing the teeth is harmful to
the teeth. I know and teach that
brushing the teeth is a waste of
time and money, so far as saving
the teeth or preventing decay
of the teeth may be concerned
