of the Walton club Tuesday.

ed, and improvements to be ex

for their untiring efforts in be

sportsmen Interested in the pre
servation of wild life, were
urged to attend the next meeting
being held under auspices of the
sportsmen In Ashland, Tuesday
evening, April 17 and to watch
for later announcement.

SELECTION TALKED
To further ' coordination ot
various groups In giving Infor
mation and assistance to veter
ans in respect to rights and pros
pects on return to civil life, a
meeting was held here last week
with round-table discussion led
by Floyd J. Eppenbaugh. field
agent for the vocational rehabili
tation department ot the state
board of education.
The meeting was attended by
representatives ot the local
selective service boards. Red
Cross, Jackson County Pubho
Welfaret U. S Employment Ser
vice, three veterans organiza
tions, veterans administration
and the veterans affairs commit
tee of the chamber of commerce.
A subsequent meeting with
the selective service boards and
the county court considered the
appointment of a service officer,
as authorized by the last legist
lature. Final recommendations
are expected soon.

will leave soon after the first ot
April for Los Angeles where she
will study voice at the Samoiloff
Bel Canto studio. Miss Wyatt, a
lyric soprano, has made many
vocal appearances here In recent
months and last fall was Jack
