FAR ABOARD LST BOAT
Myrlin H. Scott, boatswain'
mate, first class, who formerly
attended Medford high school,
recently wrote to friends her
telling of his experiences aboard
an LST boat in the Pacific. Scott
wrote that he had been three
fourths of the way around the
world and had taken part In th
Invasions of Pelau, Leyte, Mirv
doro, Luzon and was at Subic
Bay. He said he has been as far
as the China sea and that his
ship hat shot down two Jap
planes which "really was a
sight."
