Hanlin Home Paul Hanlin,
United -States deputy marshal,
returned this morning from Ta-
coma where he spent a brief
time with his brother, Thomas
Hanlin. The latter, an officer
with the Washington state po
lice, was seriously injured in an
automobile accident and is in a
Tacoma hospital.

Lost Purse Mrs. Walter Se-
well, Jo Jack Drive, lost her
purse at the lunch counter in a
local store it was reported Tues
day. The purse was black leather
with zipper, and contained a
brown wallet, small coin purse
ration books,, bank book, and
$2 in cash. Anyone finding the
purse is asked to report It to the
local police.
Lieutenant Leaves Second
Lt. William R. Stout left today
for Columbus, Miss., for a per
iod of transition training. He
has been in Medford for the past
few days visiting his parents.

serving with the Trailblazer di
vision of the 7th army.

last year when he was touring
an army hospital at Hot Springs,

an x-ray technician. He thought
she should be in pictures, "she's
so pretty," and encouraged her
to come to Hollywood.
HORSE SHOOTER PUT
ON TWO-YEAR PAROLE
William DeNice Dunstan, 45-
year-old resident of the Sterling
Star route area, was sentenced
to a year in the state penitenti
ary in circuit court yesterday
and ' then placed on probation
for two years, according to Dis
trict Attorney George Neilson
Dunstan's guns were taken from
him and will be held for the
duration of the parole, Neilson
said.
Dunstan was arrested yester
day by sheriff's officers and state
police for shooting a horse be

have been used up, OPA said,
