of embarkation upon expiration

with an army engineer's unit
and both from Medford, met in
the Philippine Islands March 2.
In letters to their families both
young men told how much they
enjoyed spending an afternoon
together and exchanging home

Rastetter, former Medford nurse,
has been oromoted tn th rnnlr
of lieutenant junior grade In the
navy nurse corps. Lt. Rastetter
left Medford for an assignment
at the naval hosnital at Oakland
Calif., and. was then transferred
to dispensary duty at the naval
training center t Frront
Idaho, last July. While In Med-
rora tne nurse resided in the
home of E. H. Hewitt, Keeneway
Drive.
