Terrible Tony Ross put up
one of the gamest battles ever
seen in Medford Armory last
night when he held the Gray
Mask to a draw in the six round
main event. The Mask copped
the first fall in the fourth round
with a half crab after several
head butts and Ross evened the
score in the final canto with
back-breakers.
Gust Johnson won on a foul
over Pete Belcastro in the semi
windup. Each had taken a fall
when Belcastro kicked Johnson
out of the ring and then grabbed
Referee Earl Yoakiey by the
hair to throw him out of the
way so he coult get at Johnson.
That was too much for Yoakiey
and he gave Johnson the fall.
Jack Kiser and Georges Du
sette went to a fall-apiece draw
in the opener.
