Yet some one must plan the
movements of those trains and
some one knows where those
troops are going. And the trains
and boats and planes they'll take
must be operated according to a
pattern. The whole thing is too
enormous for me to get a com
plete picture, let alone under
stand Its 'component parts.
Before thos- trains could carry
their freight, tracks had to be
laid, engines made, engineers
trained to operate them. Before
the bridge could be made, steel
and concrete and timber had to
be arranged for; men had to be
trained to do the work.
Before the sailors and soldiers
could embark, for their various
destinations, they had to be
