Corps To Be Held
In Central Point
A district meeting of the
Women's Relief corps will be
held next Saturday, Feb. 17, at
Central Point,, with delegates
from Grants Pass, Medford, Gold
Hill, Central Point and Ashland
corps in attendance. Here for the
convention will be Mrs. Agnes
Lindahl, Portland, department
president, and three other de
partment officers.

Guyer and Mrs. C. V Monia, who
gave an interesting play, "Thai
land, Key to the Southeast." The
topic currently being studied is
"The Christian Pageant ia the
Pacific."
The social hour which follow
ed was. in charge of Mrs. Maude
Daugherty and her group.

Honored Guest :
Mrs. Ilda Vickoren was hon
ored guest at a dessert luncheon
and shower given Monday after
noon by Mrs. Myrle Merriman
and Mrs. Pauline Fritze at the
Merriman home, on King street
The afternoon was spent with
bridge and other games, with
prizes going to Mrs. Vickoren.

Planned By Church
A pre-Lenten festival will be
given at Sacred Heart Catholic
church Tuesday evening of this
week, beginning at eight 0 clock
Games, entertainment and re
freshments will be provided for
both young and old and all fam
ilies of Sacred Heart parish are
invited to attend. ' "

ing of the Altar sotiety, which
normally would be held that day,
has been postponed, until nex

Baptist Auxiliary
To Meet This Week
A business and work meeting
of the Ladies' Auxiliary of the
First Baptist church will be held
Tuesday at the church beginning
at 9:30 a. m. Birthdays falling
during the months of November,
December and January will be
observed.

book, "Life of Frances Willard"
at the meeting of the Medford
W.C.T.U.. held Thursday after
noon at the Presbyterian church.
The meeting was devoted to
Mrs. Willard, founder of the
Women' Christian Temperance
union.
Mrs. Belle Littrell gave the
afternoon devotionals and spe
cial music was presented by Mrs.
Aletha Knutsen and Mrs. E. R.

of legislation, gave a report on
state and national legislation
