EARLY FLOOD CONTROL
VOTE APPEARS FADING
Washington, Nov. 30 (U.R)
Hopes of an early senate vote
on the $970,965,000 flood con

after introduction of an amend

western states from the army
engineers to the Interior depart

Some senators feel that the
amendment, sponsored by Sen.
James E. Murray, D Mont.,
might make it impossible to
pass the flood control bill in this
session of congress. Leaders
hoped to recess December 15 for
the Christmas holidays.
