Murphy plays the role of the
producer; Gordon Miller, whose
frantic attempts to stage a musi
cal show on a shoestring com
prise the basic plot of the song
studded comedy. Miller is not
only broke, but is heavily in I
debt to a big New York hotel
where he and his staff and his
cast are living.

Only the fact that his brother-in-law

out why the establishment is in
the red, and promptly sets about
trying to kick out the whole

To add to his woes, Miller Is
embarrassed by the unexpected
appearance of Glen Russell, an
ingenious young playwright
who has paid the producer to
sta"e a terrible drama he has
written, and who wants to know
what's happened to his play and
his money.
"Cry of the Werewolf", a
thriller that promises to keep
Rialto audiences on the edge of
their seats, is the Sunday attrac
tion along with "The Soul of the

its school band this year. So
much so that it has organized
a "Jacksonville School Parents
Band, Choral and Music so
ciety." Purpose of the society is to
back the band and chorus both
financially and. with moral sup
port. Officers elected at the last
meeting are Mrs. Dorothy Mills,
president; Mrs. Arthur Hinkle,
vice president; Mrs. Llllle Bur
nell, secretary; Mrs. McDanlels,
treasurer, and Mrs. R. J. Harris,
reporter.
The society will meet the sec
ond Monday of each month at
8 p. 'm.
The band made It's first pub
lic appearance Thursday after
noon when it paraded from the
school down to Main street,
stopping in front of the post
office. There the band offered a
selection and the majorettes did
a twirling act, then returned for
the football game. ,
