Ha li a freshman In high
school.. When I asked him how
he was getting along he squirm
ed uneasily and finally admitted
his grades weren't what he'd
like them to be; especially tha
grades of the subjects he took
in the afternoon. He said Hie
'could do lots better if all his
teachers were men. When I ask
ed him if he thought women
teachers were unfair to boys, he
said it wasn't that. I asked for
an explanation..
"Only fat women should be
allowed to teach school. A fat
woman isn't froze to death all
the time. But most women teach
ers are skinny and keep tha
thermometer up to 80 or better;
which makes us boys feel we've
had a dose ot knockout drops.
We get so sleepy we don't know
'what she is saying' when she
talks to us and most of the time
we should be studying, we'ra
sleeping,

time; hence his lower grades in
afternoon subjects.
Hearing him made me realize
that men must be made to suf
fer quite a lot because of tha
difference in their dress to our

own. A man who has worked all
day in the open must, if he goes
to a party at night, wear clothes
weighing about .four times as
much as those of his wife. Which
may be one of the reasons tor
most husbands' reluctance for
night festivities. But until men
develop less ' knobby knees,
they'll just have to suffer. Frank
