Henselman, Medford, Ore., has
Just completed another of his
many army murals this time
for Camp Ellis, an army service
forces training center in western
Illinois. His current work, a
huge panel 60 feet wide and 18
feet deep depicting a tropical
floral scene, Is now a center of
attraction at the main service
club.
The 23-year-old artist has been
wielding the brush for some
time. His first mural was
"Schehcrzade" for the music
room of the Medford high schocil.
and the second was an "Esuup
Ism" piece for the canteen plus
a light western mural at the
USO.
Henselman entered the army
more than two years ago and
while stationed nt Fltzlmmons
General hospital, Denver, he
completed the largest mural in
his experience. It involved a
series of eight panels with a
combined area of 1800 square
feet, depicting scenes from early
Colorado history, plus" an 800
foot curtain.
Murals comprise only a part
of Henselman'n work. He has ex
hlted paintings at Los Angeles
and other art centers and has
sold a few pieces to private collectors.

a letter from their son, Pfc.
Frederick E. Kruggel, Jr., from
Italy In which he expressed
thanks for some Jerkny which
ho had received. The jerkey was
a gift from Dick Kay of Old
Stage road.
Pfc. Kruggel wrote he was
able to pack hi machine gun up
a mountain like It was a toy gun
after eating the jerkey.
He mentioned receiving
copies of the Mall Tribune and
enjoys reading them and wrote
of the mud and rain which is
making ths campaign difficult.
