Morning Messages
Dev. Delbert W. Daniels, In!
a series of morning messages at
First Christian church, Ninth
and Oakdale, answers a call for
the "dedication of self, life, pos
sesions, service and purpose."
Members of Christian churches
throughout the world have been
called to a year of dedication by
the leaders who are meeting In
an International convention this
week In Columbus, Ohio, with
Dr. Clarence E. Lemmon of Co
lumbia, Mo., presiding president.
The leaders declare, "As
Christians we are deeply con-,
sclous that we have not arrested
the forces that have brought the
world to its present chaotic con-i
dltlon. We even admit that the
same evils that torture the world
are found ii. the life of the
church. The church Itself Is In
need of redemption. Yet we hnve '
faith that these forces so diamet
rically opposed to the will of
God are doomed because they
are opposed to His eternal pur-j
poses.
"To this faith we redcdlcato
ourselves to the purpose of good
will and the brotherhood of man.
and to the causes and Institu
tions of the church." I
