Lieutenant Donald L. Peart, 28-year-old
B-17 pilot, of 707 West
Main street, Medford, Oregon,
was recently assigned to an
AAF Flying Fortress unit of the
Fifteenth Air Force.
Lt. Peart Joined the AAF on
May 4, 1942, and received his
cadets' appointment on Septem
ber 23, 1942 .He was awarded
his pilots' wings at George Field,
Illinois, on October 1, 1943, and
left for overseas combat duty in
August, 1944.
He was graduated from Med
ford High school in 1933, and
Heald's Business College In
1939. Prior to Joining the AAF,
he was employed as a public
accountant.
