IT took a lot of cans to bring a touch of home to our
boys overseas at Christmas time. Our 1612 cans
were but a part as the county agent's office supplied
hundreds of cans to folks who packed them at home.
That is a lot of fruit cake as our bakers who worked
long overtime hours to bake them soon discovered.
To our bakers and to the staff of Mrs. Farrell, the
County Home Demonstration Agent, who sealed all these
cans, we say Thanks.
It is our hope that the fruit cake and other good things
sealed in these cans will bring as much real pleasure to
our boys at Christmas time as we and Mrs. Farrell's
staff experienced in doing our little bit to make it
possible.
