Gloria Huston, and personnel,
Virginia Long.
It was decided to have a pro
gram which Includes both recrea
tional and study activities. A

here Sunday at 11 a. m., It was
announced today by the pastor,
the Rev. Karl W. Brockhaus.
Chancel and auditorium of the
church proper have recently
been painted and decorated by
E. A. Stamm, a member of the
congregation, who has had a
rich background of experience
in this type of work.
Mr. Stamm planned his de
signing around the beautiful life
size portrait of Christ which
holds a central place above the
alter In the chancel and which
was presented to the church
some years back by Dr. Leroy
C. Jensen of this city In memory
of his father. The work was com
pleted this week with men of
the brotherhood assisting in the
clean-up details.
The general public will be cor
dially welcomed at the service

dropped Polish parachutists in
Warsaw.
"On the fifth anniversary of
the unconditional surrender of
Warsaw, a large formation of
Anglo-American bombers car
ried out a demonstrative raid
for the purpose of encouraging
remnants of the underground
movement in its desperate strug
gle." DNB said.
"They dropped a number of
Polish shock troop leaders who
were all shot down In the air.
The dropping of Polish para
chutists took place at Midday."

September 15. Attendance was
light due to fall work. Latest
OPA prices on the various grains
were quoted by the agricultural
committee and such timely sub
jects as the proposed irrigation
dams were discussed by mem
bers. Mrs. Brockway led the re
creation during lecturer's hour,
and Mr. Jewett showed some In
teresting films. Mrs. Olive Floyd,
head of the rural committee for
the War Chest drive, gave an
interesting talk on alms of the
War Chest for this year.
