Mary Anderson, who went to
t U. C. L. A. to take a summer
course and was discovered by a
talent scout from Republic stu
dio who saw her skating at the
Westwood rink at Los Angeles,
has signed a contract with the
Sonja Henle troupe and leaves
the latter part of this month for
a skating tour. Miss Anderson,
who taught physical education
at Medford Senior high school
the last semester of the 1943-44
school year, resigned from her
position while in Medford last
week en route to her home in
Eugene.
After completing her course
and teaching." Instead she
signed a troupe contract. While
at the University of Oregon Miss
Anderson played the French
horn and was a drum majorette.
She has five brothers, three In
the navy, and four sisters.
At the office of the school su
perintendent it was stated that
Miss Jean Wall, who taught
physical education at Junior
high school here last year, had
