disease, especially coronary dis

through the arterioles in the
heart Wall). It tends to dilate
these arterioles and so permit
better blood supply to the heart

to congress 12 legislative steps
for maintaining farm Income,
'directing production to peace
time levels, and Improving
health and educational standards
in rural areas.
In a statement to a house sub
committee on postwar planning
Wickard suggested that aid be
extended to all families with in
comes below $1,500 so that they
can obtain adequate diets and
clothing, and recommended ex
tension of social security bene
fits to farm workers.
He asked congress to author
