tification bureau here recently
on a charge of writing a check
on a bank In which he had no
account, he explained that he
didn't "write" bad checks, he
Just "signed" them.
'STOLEN' CAR FOUND
Toledo, O. U.PJ Police
sought one of their cruisers for
15 hours the other day In the
belief that It had been stolen.
The car turned up in the city
garage, where It was under
going repairs. The officers to
whom the cruiser was assigned
said the car waa taken from
parking lot without their knowl
edge. The Ridcau canal was opened
In 1832.
