Henry J. Kaiser, who has pro
duced ships, airplanes and jeeps
and sold gravel, sand and insur
ance, has gone into the brick
manufacturing business.
Unable to secure priorities to
build a new plant, Kaiser has
set up shop in a picturesque
adobe hacienda at Milpitas, near
San Jose, Cal., and his crews are
turning out basic refractory
bricks of magnesia chrome, used
to line furnaces and kilns of
steel.
