above entitled suit on or before

and if you fail to so appear and
answer said complaint, for want
thereof the plaintiff will apply to
the Court for the relief demand
ed in his comolaint. to-wit: for
a decree of the above entitled
Court that there is now due,
owing and unpaid from Defend
ants to Plaintiff the sum of
S323.45 together with interest
thereon at the rate of 6 per
annum from December 3, 1943,
until paid, pursuant to the terms
and provisions of that certain
agreement dated September 1,
1936, wherein Plaintiff agreed to
sell and convey to the defendants
George R. Holly and May H.
Holly, and said defendants
agreed to purchase from plain
tiff the following described real
property in the City of Mcdford,
Jackson County, Oregon, to-wit:
Lot Eight (8) in Block Four (4)
of Benson Addition to said City
of Medford, Oregon; that said
contract and defendants' right,
title and interest in and to said
real DroDcrtv be strictly fore
closed and plaintiff decreed to be
the owner and entitled to the
immediate possession thereof,
free and clear of any right, title,
claim, interest or estate of de
fendants and each and every
thereof, therein and thereto,
subject, however, to defendants'
right to redeem the same within
thirty days from the date of de
cree herein upon full payment
to Plaintiff of the above amounts,
together with the further sum
of $100.00, Plaintiff's reasonable
attorney's fees herein and its
costs and disbursements herein
to be taxed.

order of the Hon. H. K. Hanna,
Judge of the above entitled
Court, made and entered in the
above Court and cause on the

BEWARE THE CHARLATAN WHO GETS
ALL OF THE TONSIL
In the talk about "Too Much
Tonsillotomy" the other day I
explained that tonsillotomy
means cutting
the tonsil or
"clipping" it
as in remov
ing the bulk
if tonsils
which are
either enlarg
ed or Infected.
T onsillectomy
means remov
ing the entire
tonsil, every
bit of it, leav-

of tonsil tissue In the throat.
To hear some operators talk
about it, one might think ton
sillectomy a marvelous thor
ough and efficient piece of sur
gery. But not If one knows
one's onions.
It Is conceivable, and in case
of a grave suspicion of, say,
cancer in the tonsil, it might
be justifiable to attempt to re
move every bit of tonsil tissue,
leaving no such tissue in the
throat. But In my studied opin
ion there is no good reason for
subjecting the patient to more
prolonged anethesia (local or
general) or more extensive tra"u
ma or injury or dissection in the
attempt to "get all of the tonsil
tissue" In cases of simple tonsil
hypertrophy or enlargement or
in cases of infected tonsils, espe
cially when a septic focus in a
tonsil is held responsible for
some systemic trouble such as i
chronic arthritis,
That complex is based on a
false premise in the first place.
No one has ever shown that
tonsil tissue is in itself harmful
in any way. No mater how
large tonsils and adenoids (third
or pharyngeal tonsil) may be,
they do no harm to child or
adult except through the me
chanical accident of obstruction
that is, the enlarged tonsil or
adenoid calls for no treatment
unless it happens to (1) obstruct
of this summons, and, It you fail
so to appear and answer said
complaint, for want thereof, the
plaintiff will apply to the Court
for tho relief demnnded in her
complaint, succinctly states as
follows, to-wit:
That each and all of the de
fendants herein bo required to
fully set forth any and all right,
title, estate, lien, clulm or in
terest whatsoever that they, or
any of them, may have, or claim,
in, to, or upon tho real property
described in the complaint here
in, or any part or parcel thereof,
which said real property is
situated in Jackson County, Ore
gon, and more particularly de
scribed as follows, to-wit:
Lots 2 and 3 in Block 32 of
the Town of Gold Hill, in
Jackson County, Oregon.
That each and all of tho claims
that may be made on the part of
any or all ot snld defendants
herein, in or to said real property
herein described, or any part
thereof, be adjudged and de
clared to be null and void; that
the plaintiffs herein be decreed

ject of treatment is to eradicate,
disinfect, clear up, destroy, re
move, pasteurize, drain or other
wise eliminate the source of the
trouble. In my judgment that
object is best achieved by dia
thermy extirpation of- the sep
tic focus extirpation by electro
coagulation, or perhaps sterili
zation or pasteurization of the
infected area of tonsil tissue. At
any rate, that is the treatment
I'd want if I suffered from any
such focal infection.
