NEW TEETH INSTALL ED WITHOUT WAITING
Let me tell you that what you
aaid about immediate dentures
is absolutely true (writes a read
er). Six years
ago most of
my remaining
teeth were ex
tracted under
a n e s t h esia.
But previous
ly my dentist
had made im
pressions and
prepared the
dentures I
woild need.
These were in-
Dr Brad? stalled in my
mouth when I awoke the nurse
brought a mirror and when I
looked I was disappointed, for I
thought they had not extracted
any teeth after all. I wore the
new plates home that same clay,
and they fitted so well that I
could not remove thein for
cleansing until three days later
when I visited the dentist and
he showed me how. I have never
had any trouble or even enough
discomfort to prevent me from
wearing the dentures constantly
ever since. And my digestion
and health were never so good
as during these past five years.
So I know jou are right about
immediate denture service, If
that's what this U called, for I
was th"re! Don't let any old fogy
dentists anywhere cramp your
tyle. (W.T.H.)
Immediate denture service is
the name dentists give such ser
vice preparation of the den
ture In advance, so that it will
be a perfect replica of the pa
tient's original teeth, gums, etc.,
an installation of the denture
immediately after extraction of
tooth or teeth, before the patient
leaves the office.
Denture means a set of artifi
cial teeth from a partial denture
(two or more teeth) to a full
denture (all the teeth in upper
or lower Jaw).
The Immediate denture ia not
always so nearly ideal as the
reader's proved. In most cases
some further care and adjust
ments or even remodelling are
required, but In a good many
instances patients can and do
wear their new teeth without
serious discomfort from the
hour after extraction.
Wearing plates Immediately
controls the healing process and
favors formation of normal or
natural gum or other supports
for the plates or dentures, wear
ing the new teeth constantly, in
stead of imposing disuse upon
the mouth, teeth, gums, Jaws,
mucous membrane, glands, mus
cles, face, tongue for weeks or
months, favors maintenance of
good digestion (salivary diges
tion occurs not only in the
mouth but continues, in the
healthy person, for half an hour
or more after starchy food has
entered the stomach), good nu
trition, vite, efficiency and good
looks, if any.

Insomnia Versus Dope
If you can help me to sleep it will
be a miracle. Haven't alept more than
four or five hours a week without
taking sleeping medicine for several !
years. U B. J.
Answer Even allowing for the cus- '
tomary exaggeration 1 sueirest that
remaining awake for several hours
when you think you should be sleep
ing Is miieh less harmful to heath,
much lew dangerous to life, than tak
ing sleeping medicine. The popular
conception of Insomnia Is far too
morbid and frightful. On request I'm
glad to mall pamphlet "How to Sleep
Well" If you provide a stamped en
velope bearing your adrireaa. But It
does not suggest any sleeping medi
cine or any drug to substitute for
sleeping medicine. You're headed In
the wrong direction about that.'
