some logging firm employers
had failed to cooperate in checking-
up on employees and that
the board had many cases of
persons continually changing
jobs and applying for new ra
tions on the basis of each job,
some lasting but a short time.)

Olive Barber sure hit the nail

Tuesday paper, but she mustn't
think Seattle Is the only place

; to live on? I live In Prospect
and had to make several trips
to town. I went to the OPA
and tried to get extra gas and
they told me to get the gas be
fore I came to the doctor. .
i Just how is one going to wait
two or three days to write In
and get mail back when one Is
down and needs' a doctor? He
needs him now and not two or
three days dater.

Boussum's letter, ration, board
officials stated that "B" rations
are Issued only for occupational
driving, but that the applicants
are "on their honor", the board
being unable to check up on
each Individual user. "A" gaso
line, or the basic 120 miles a
month, may be used as the hold
er wishes.
Officials said a search of Mr.
Boussum's file at the Medford
office shows that he has held
"A", "B", "C" and off-highway
rations at various times since
; rationing went Into effect, ra
tions being Issued by Tillamook,
Ashland and Medford boards.
On May 11 he was issued 25
gallons on a special application
requested for use during the ill-
; ness of a son.
In 1943 Mr1. Boussum' held' a
; "C" book which provided 728
miles of travel a month. He was
issued 80 gallons on a "B" book
May 13-of 1944 this to expire
; in August. His last application,
; made June 19, asked for S20
miles a month and was turned
down due to the fact that he
, failed to account for the remain-
