The real spirit of the Sadie
Hawkins Day tradition will be
carried out tonight at the Girls
league dance, following the
game with Eureka, as the girls
will escort the boys and treat
them to cokes. General motif of
the dance will be Hallowe'en,
decorations having been ar
ranged by JoAnn Humphrey
and her committee. Paintings
were done by Virginia Hall and
Hortense Jennings. General
chairman of the dance will be
Ruth Andrews with Mildred Mt
Kenzle in charge of the pro
gram. Peggy Young will be head
of the coke sales and Betty Jean
McKcnzie will arrange for the
music, which will consist of pop

A free motion picture show
ing the construction of the Pioer
cub, a light airplane, was held
in the auditorium during the
noon hour of October 18. Stu
dents who were there saw the .
construction of the five parts of
the plane and how they were as
sembled. Also was shown the
strict test these planes undergo
before use. These aircraft are
used for the C.A.P. and army
observation planes. School tech-,
nician, Bill Patton, was in
charge of the motion pictures.
Among recent alumni visitors
