ship, on an even keel, was turned
over to the navy.
In brief ceremonies, Capt. B.

In line with the campaign of
the American Red Cross to.
train one member of every fam
ily In home nursing in order to
guard the nation's health during
the war, a series of home nurs
ing classes is being organized.
These are taught by registered
nurses under supervision of the
local chapter.
The Washington Parent-Teacher
association is sponsoring two
Classes. The first starts tonight
at 7:30 o'clock at 820 West Thir
teenth street, and will be taught
by Madelyn Schade Klinefelter.
The second class will be held
afternoons at 208 Hamilton
street, and will start Tuesday,
November 2, at 1:30 p. m. Both
classes will be open to anyone
who wishes to register.
Wednesday, November 3, at
1:30 p. m. a class will be started
at the courthouse auditorium. It
will be taught by Mrs. Ruth
Goodwin and anyone Interested
may register at the Red Cross
office or at the class itself.

will reach 92,500,000 tons, al

The spokesman said the war
time inflation of commodity
prices In China Is being slowed

averaged 150 times as high as
prewar levels.
