MANEUVER AREA CRASH

24, of Moline, 111., was killed
when his army fighter plane
crashed and burned at the Red
mond air base, it was announced
at maneuver headquarteri to
day. At Camp Stoneman, Cat., 18
trucks enlarged with scrap lum
ber do the work of 30 factory
size vehicles, saving annually
28,785 gallons of gasoline and
13-520 man-hours of truck
drivers.
