January meeting In the newly
decorated church parlors Mon
day evening and heard devo
tional led by Mra. John B. Por
ter. Plant were made (or the
group to help furnish one of the
rooms of the church which li
being redecorated.

when a treasure bunt was the
main event. Other games were
enjoyed and fortune telling
booth proved quite popular with

gan served buffet lunch to about

A guest visiting this post for the
holiday season was Miss Betty
Holte of Boise, Idaho, who has
been staying with her sister
Miss Joyce Holte, manager of
the cafeteria at Camp White's
service club number two.
Betty enjoyed the Yuletlde
Merriment that has enlivened
each social event during the
; ear's end.
Now that the post has return
ed to the disciplined routine of
military life she Is staying over
a few more days for visit with
her sister.

review concerned the story of
her life in the Maine woods.
At the previous club meeting
and a Christmas story was read
enjoyed with exchange of gifts
and a Christmas stor ywas read
by Mrs. Dolph Phippt. In charge
were the Mesdames Lowry
Hodges, Miles, Wortman and
Rynnlng. Both meetings were
held at the Girls' Community
clubhouse.

The bride, who is a daughter

42. Pfc. Lambert formerly lived

cial evening programs and to
attend two dances during the
month at service clubs at Camp
White. Future meetings will be
held every two months with

carrying on the work formerly
done by the league as a whole.
It was announced that the USO
clubhouse will be opened later
In the evening to coincide with
bus departure from Medford.
Announcement was made of
the President's Ball to be held
Wednesday, Jan.v27. Approxi
mately 39 members attended the
league meeting.

Mrs. J. R. Llvengood was
elected president of the Medford
group made up of officer's wives
of the Camp White Command
Unit at a reorganization meet
ing held Tuesday of this week at
the Girls Community club. Mrs.
Edwin R. Bullock was elected
vice-president and Mrs. R. R.
Althouse, secretary-treasurer.
The group meets every. Tues
day at the Community club, 220
N. Bartlett street, to sew for the
Red Cross between the hours oi
10:30 a. m. and 3:30 p. m. Mrs.
Llvengood states that all offi
cers' wives are urged to attend
the meeting and assist with the
sewing, since a large quota of
garments has been assigned to
the group. Women attending
bring sandwiches and coffee Is
served.

the guests and later dancing
was enjoyed with Ethel Mae
