Love," coming today to the

The two new stars are Gloria
Jean and Donald O'Connor.
Both have appeared in many
screen successes and now, it is
announced, they are honored by
top-billing and will be seen In
a story devised to exploit their
individual and remarkable per
sonalities. Jane Frazee and Robert Paige
have the important supporting
roles in this story in which
Gloria, as an 11-year-old concert
singer, escapes from a greedy
aunt and pretends to be a found
ling. Miss Frazee and Paige, as
a newly married couple, adopt
the young masquerader; then the
excitement begins.
Plenty of added excitement Is
promised in' "Eyes of the-Underworld",
starring Richard Dix
and Lon Chaney and playing as

10th air force stationed in India
have renewed their offensive
against Japanese-held Rangoon
and Port Blair in the Andaman'
Islands, an official communique
said tonight.
Crew members reported that
at least 20 large bombs were
seen to strike warehouses in Ran
goon while a direct hit was re
ported on a dock Installation.
Fires broke out along the water
front before the raiders left, the
communique said.
Shipping at Port Blair escaped
attack, the communique report
ed, because "other remunerative
targets" were sighted.
All planes and crew members
returned unharmed from the
Burma raid.

jor revisions In the nation's arm
ament program are being
planned by military authorities,
and centralization of manpower
and food controls were the high
lights of business developments
this week.
Announcement by the military
that certain orders for defensive
armament had been scal.-d down
on cancelled confirmed reports
circulating in business channels
since the American Invasion of
North Africa.
However, this does not mean
that armament production will
decline over the coming year.
In fact, war expenditures for
1943 probably will double the
estimated total of $50,000,00(1.
000 spent this year. What it
means is that the military, be
cause of the piling up of various
types of armaments, now is in
position to be selective, choos
ing the specific weapons needed
for the various theaters of war.
Cutting one gallon from the
"A" gasoline ration coupon, in
18 eastern rationed states, is es
timated to save about 20,000 bar
rels of gasoline daily.
